Regions of North-East India

Brahmaputra Plains - or the Upper Brahmaputra Valley
Assam Hills - Low lying hills and foothills adjoining the Brahmaputra Plains.
Tripura Hills - the Tripura Hill System, continues in Bangladesh
Sikkim Himalaya - Lower and Greater Himalaya
Meghalaya Hills - A east to west Hill range, from the the Patkai Hills(part of the same system) in the East, to the Brahmaputra river in the West.
Arunachal Himalaya - eastern end of the Himalayas, Mostly Lower Himalaya with some Greater Himalaya separating the Tibetan Plateau
Patkai Hills - a North to South Hill range starting from the Himalayas, going South through India, Burma and Bangladesh
