Sri Mathura Nagar Parikrama (Panchkosh) Route Map

Length : 12 km or about 5 Kosh

The recommended method to perform any Parikrama is to seek the guidance of a resident of that Dhama and perform following. In the unavailability of such a guide one may use the map below.

This is a precise Route-Map, ie can be used with mobile phone - as a map. In the absence of a phone this map could be used by writing down a list of temples along route in clockwise order and the Parikrama-Vasi would need to ask directions from one place to the next for the entire parikrama. Apart from those 2 methods it would not be possible to perform this parikrama otherwise - as the parikrama marg is not marked on the ground nor will asking "is this the parikrama marg" work. Of course the best way is to seek the guidance of a Mathuravasi and perform following, performing thus would take several hours. Performing with an Map using either of above 2 methods may take an whole day.
Minor lines indicate alternate routes. Many more places are present along the ghats/banks not marked on this map. The Parikrama generally encompasses the extant of the ancient walled Mathura City.
